Each cohort will consist of new content from one of four exciting opportunities. We offer the following IT Certifications courses:
CompTIA ITF+
This entry-level course introduces students to essential IT concepts and skills, including basic hardware, software, networking, and cybersecurity. Good for beginners exploring a future in tech.

CompTIA A +
Core 1 covers the foundational skills needed for technical support and IT operational roles. Students learn how to configure and troubleshoot devices, peripherals, mobile hardware, and basic networks.

CompTIA Network +
This course teaches the skills needed to design, configure, manage, and troubleshoot wired and wireless networks. It’s ideal for students aiming to become network technicians or administrators.

- Troubleshooting a wide variety of networking issues
CompTIA Security +
Security+ is a globally recognized certification in cybersecurity. Students learn to identify risks, secure devices and networks, and implement mitigation strategies for real-world threats.

- Access control and identity management
- Incident response and governance
To be eligible for the Glades Region IT Scholarship participates must be low-income and reside in South Bay, Pahokee or Belle Glade Florida.
Our target age group is 16-35 with or without children 0-18.
G.R.I.T.S. are available to individuals who are willing to commit to two hours a day twice a week and complete the course.
G.R.I.T.S. participants typically have an interest to increase their income earning potential by becoming IT certified.
